Lol @ the name Jade. Just don't let her on Newgrounds. Jessica, Hailey, Alexandra.

My parents were hippies and thought, "lets find her something unique and creative!" but no one could ever say or spell it.
So I'm suggesting you give her a NORMAL name. Don't go through the book and pick crap just because it sounds beautiful and mystical. Rememer she has to go to school with this name.
I didn't have anything foreign in mind. Except something of Latin decent, but I quickly got rid of that idea.
I'm positive that the final name will be easy to pronounce, and that it will suite her character.
My mind is still buzzing with the name Jade for some odd reason.

I'm gonna add a point to what Seven said: don't pick a cutesy spelling just because it looks cute. I knew an Aimee who was CONSTANTLY correcting everyone. That had to have become annoying.
Also, make sure it's something the other kids can't use against your kid at school. I had to tell my aunt that naming her daughter Diana Maria for her first and middle names wasn't such a good idea.
That being said, though, I always liked the name Diana and might use it if I have a girl. But it needs to sound good with the rest of the names, too. If I end up marrying my boyfriend, his last name ends with an A, so any girls' names ending with A might sound strange. Depends.
Give her a name that means something. I don't know why but for some reason boy names make the girls' names seem prettier

To name a few, those would have a beautiful ring to it. Just don't you dare name her Sara or Rachel or something super common. Something unique and exotic will sound so much better and look better on a birthday card or cake or somewhere in her bedroom. Also consider Terra.

The name Jade reminds me of this filthy girl that I know that lives right around the corner of my street, since that is her name, so Jade, kinda gross. Name her Rachel, now thats a beautiful name, or Sarah.

You could name her after one of you or your wife's grandmothers; I hear they used to do that back in the day, when they used archaic stuff like VHS tapes and floppy disks.
Also, I totally agree with the guy who suggested "Tom," that'd be pretty bad-ass. Then she could write a song called "A Girl Named Tom" and be a one-hit wonder or something.
Whatever you decide, just make sure it's not illegal in any countries, she might get arrested in Switzerland or somewhere for having a name longer than 16 letters.

I want to name her something unique, but not weird at the same time. I'm also not sure how my wife would feel if I decide on a boy's name either :)
My wife liked the name Jade, so it's probably gonna be my daughters name :D
