Where is HL.exe and HL2.exe?????

I looked for it 3 times on my steam folder and folders And I cant find it. I even used the File Searching thing with the yellow dog 4 times. I just got steam and Counter Strike Source
Yesterday! WHERE Is it and where can I download it. I never deleted so please help me and reply back please!!!!!!

Isn't hl2.exe the Source Engine, not just Half-Life 2?

Anyway, Vista has a bizarre problem with it some times.

ProgramFiles/Steam/steamapps/<username>/
<whatever game it is you are referring to>/
It's in every folder in steamapps/<username>

HL2.exe is the source engine and what it runs the game off of. I think your problem is that you don't have it Counter-Strike installed.

Look stop complaining and TELL US WHAT'S ACTUALLY WRONG.

What happens when you go into steam and try and run counterstrike-source? Is there an error message? Or does it just crash? What's going on?

OP, try shutting down all of your extra superfluous processes. For me, if I have too many things running in the background, the Source engine won't start properly. Also, for me, it has a REAL dislike for Skype, so close that down as well. Just to be safe, if you're running the Windows sidebar, or something like Rocket/Star-dock, close down that as well.

And stop complaining about your Antivirus, I doubt its that.

You may also want to check that you have the latest drivers for your Graphics card (or god Forbid, that your computer can even run the Source engine... >_> ).
