How Flash gets to the frontpage

Basically it's Tom deciding what goes on the front page and really in my opinion that's fine by me cause it's his site lol , but I've seen front page worthy work that never got a chance to hit the front page and the front page is really how artist's/animators get known and become famous and I believe the frontpage should be bigger and go by rating.

Anyone else agree?

exactly , set it so it will automatically put it on the front page based on the rating.

I think the space could be handled a little better... Hopefully once the front page is wide it will give that extra room to allow a lot more content on the front page. The problem is that Newgrounds is such a large community with so many different aspects to it (games, movies, audio, art, user pages etc), that to fit a large range of the best work and keep it constantly updated is a big task and hard to do on the current layout.

I think it depends on what attracts people the most to the site. In some cases it's necessary, because the truth is that it's WAY easier to get your average Joe into a video game parody (for example) than an original work. It's how people are attracted to the site... Hell, it's probably what has made Newgrounds what it is today!

So in my opinion, it isn't necessarily always the best work on the front page. It's just what would be most attractive to a wider audience...

On the other hand, they wouldn't put just another crappy mario sprite movie, over a brilliantly animated original feature...
