Okay I really need some help.

I've completed my flash demo reel. I just need to convert it to a file format that is supported by Adobe After Effects so I can compile it together and burn it to a DVD

Exporting it as a swf file is perfect quality only problem is it is not a supported format.

I wanted to export it as a AVI file, I did so but the quality of the video is very pixelated. I've tired all compression types as well as uncompressing it. The quality is still terrible as an AVI.

For some reason Flash 8 wont convert my video to a Quicktime format.

Any help converting a swf to a avi or any other format without affecting the quality of the video. I want to maintain perfect swf quality.

Reward to whomever can solve this problem for me. Please reply here and/or to my e-mail sliksta2525@hotmail.com

Yup Flash is pretty crap when exporting as video files.
The only way to do this and retain decent quality is to do a direct rip from the .swf whilst playing by using screen capturing/recording software.

Hypercamis an alright free screen recording software package, but it leaves a watermark, I suggest you buy some software like Camtasiawhich should do a better job.

Good luck ^-^

I know there is a way to do it. Animation studios do it without screen capture.

Ok ignore that it is for the program iMovie for mac wat you want to do is follow the settings for exporting a high quality video.

So do the same normal thing.

Pick Name n blar blar....

Then Click QuickTime Settings and follow settings from the video thats what i did to get good looking video.

Swf2AVI. There is a free trial which will stick a massive watermark on the output but you might want to download it so you know it is too your standards. The best I've seen but it is $50. Make sure you get the trial to check it is the quality you want, but I'm sure it will be.
