I'm curious to know how many people started out with a different account than the one they have now? I often considered that people mature and change from their behaviour in their early posts and maybe they don't wish to have that immaturity associated with them..
There's just a lot of peeps who are new that seem to know their way around the block...how many would you figure in theory would be old users masquerading as new peeps. :)

I've had this account, well since I started. I think I have kept the same maturity in posts, well now I really don't use smileys as much. Reason why I kinda knew how to post was because I have a friend that an older NG member. Told me some tips and what not, I still go to college with him though.

I've made alts, but they were mainly for before I was mod when I was stuck with the four posts an hour limit...that was also before gimmick posting was outlawed.
I think with the amount of posts I have, I'd have to be crazy to have an older account on top of this one. lol...I'm sure it could be possible, but I'm not that big of a hoser.

Lol, this is exacetly me. I have been here for three freaking years man, I was lurking the BBS whenever I used it until recently. I never used my account for more than that though until a few months ago, or even less than that. but I have been on Newgrounds far longer than my post count what show.

I think this might actually be a lot more common than it has been in previous years. My newfound maturity, personally, has brought me not to abandon this account with all its atrocious old posts but rather simply to start lurking a lot more than posting. In doing so I've noticed that a lot of the '09 users seem to be a lot more intelligent and a lot more...careful than new users of previous years. This could be just the website growing into a more entrenched community with people respecting that more, but considering it is Newgrounds I find it more likely that we're receiving an influx of old users returning as new ones.
