Minorities?

I was watching a show recently, and I saw someone get an award for "Hardest Working Minority" or something along those lines. I forgot what the show was, but that's besides the point.

What exactly are the purpous of those kinds of things? It seems a tad racist to me that people do this. What exactly makes a minority different in terms of a white guy who also works? It just seems a tad offensive in my opinion. What do you guys think?

dont really know what you're talking about but I sorta agree with you .... any show or anything that matter that deals with race IN MOST CASES this day and age in the U.S. completely bullshit... now that there are laws and constitutional rights (and not to mention theres a minority raced president in the whitehouse) there really should be no reason why people should even bring race up in a conversation....
