Being raised by a mellow family, I've come to a conclusion that I don't care who gets married. Let me throw some thoughts on the subject:
1. Why is it a big deal? I mean, I can understand if your parents of the gays, however I would think that the want of your child's happiness is more then your petty homophobia. Sadly, that isn't the case for some.
2. Is this really worth the time? In my opinion no. Instead of debating on if gays can marry, shouldn't we be focusing on more important things. Things that actually save lives? Now, before someone shouts out "GAYS DON'T SEXUALLY REPRODUCE" I'm not talking about that kind of health, more so diseases or world affairs that might harm people.
3. But Religion says it's bad? Well, I'm going to be blunt and honest with you. I find religion to be bullshit and nothing more then man worshiping himself. Now don't get me wrong, I find some things in religion to be just, however for the most part it's bullshit.
4. Mental Disease, is it true? Well, the original poster made it clear. However, even if one isn't born gay, I know a few people that chose to be gay due to personal reasons and have been perfectly happy.
5. Alright, marriage is fine, BUT NO ADOPTION! Alright, let's hold up here, I'm pretty sure your going to pull that "The children will be gay because their parents are gay!" reason right out of your ass. Wouldn't it be better for a child to grow up in a loving home with two parents, be them straight or gay, then to live in an adoption center not knowing what having a family means?
Well, those are just some thoughts, I've made my post a bit too long..sorry for the wall of text folks.
