It's not just that she found it disgusting, it was that watching that movie was making her uncomfortable and you did nothing to address that.

However much of an inconvinience it may be to you, if the other person needs to leave for some reason, you should go with them. It's not a question of chivalry, it's a question of manners. You should have left even if it was a guy friend who was feeling uncomfortable.
