Well I mean, this is the time when I actually thought the internet was legitimately funny, and that I could take part in the funny shenanigans. I think that the summer of 07 was the greatest time of my life.

It was the first time that I was actually able to socialize with people on the forums as if it were some sort of extended public email system. I remember I'd write out posts that were 1000 words long in response to somebody, and I'd get an equally long response.

As 4chan would have it stated: the internet had cancer. It did, but the users who stuck it out through those tough times still had fun. I don't think 07 should be forgotten, but I do think that there was a large stratification of good and bad.

Who could hate '07 users? Lucky7 for life! I've never been bothered by any other user really and when I was someone always stuck up for me.

I actually don't mind 07ers. Its the 09ers that I hate.

You know, I really have nothing against any users who signed up before or after the year I signed up. For some reason I just find it really funny to pull out the sign up date card whenever I get the chance, even if I look like a douche when doing so. I can't remember how many 07 and 08 users I've told to shut up for shits and giggles. lol...

As long as we're going down the road of sign up date pride...

Also, I don't think it is right for users to generalize others as a result of their sign-up date. If anything, it is a rite of passage for new users. But it is quickly dropped the next year to, in turn, pick on the new users of that year.

A vicious cycle.

Ah, I remember back when I first signed up in '08. Everyone was saying, "Oh, the new 08'ers have to be the worst group of them all. Let's all hate them because they just signed up."

So, I don't think this should be grouped into only 07'ers. They might have been douchebags, from what I hear, but they can't have been bad as my batch.

Yeah, 07 was fun. Not the greatest time of my life, but still a lot of fun. I remember not being so active on Newgrounds in 2006, so 2007 was sort of like a comeback for me, heh. The forums were a lot of fun in 2007. Although, there's not much I specificly remember expect for the magikarp photoshopping thread, haha.
