This isn't about storyline deaths or anything like that, I just mean times that you have died and it has really pissed you off. Probably more likely in RPGs or adventure games :X

My most recent one was in Fallout 3, I was exploring the National Archives and went all the way around the building (it kinda circles) picking up some decent looting and killing loads of supermutants on the way, then I entered the main area and a quest kinda started around me (part of the "Stealing Independence" quest I was there for anyway) and I killed loads of supermutants that entered that room to help out this woman I had just met. After that I was looking around the room to see what I could loot when all of a sudden 4 mines exploded, killing me >_> It had quicksaved as I entered this building, so I had explored almost the entire building for nothing >: ( Very annoying. Who uses land mines? Gahh.

That was mine.

So exciting.

Sup, bitches :)

I don't think Carmine should have been fucked up in Gears of War 2, then eaten. I would have much preferred if he was still alive.

Infact, Carmine dying in Gears of War 1 was pretty annoying, he was fantastic despite him appearing in only 1 episode.

I miss Carmines =C

I hate when I'm wrecking some one is Soul Calibur IV, and they ring me out by minimal effort.

I USE LANDMINES, BITCH!

But I was playing FO3 one day, and I went into the capitol building, pwning Muties and Talon Company alike, when I walk into the room with the behemoth and after a long battle, I won. I had very low health left and I could see a matress outside the door. I ran out the door and a fucking mutie brute kills me with a super sledge.

On Gta4 i had full health and armor, I crossed the road and got run over by a car and died. It was funny and annoying because accross the road was the place i had to go for a mission.

Yeah, recently i thought i'd revisit Saints Row 1 and i was doing one of the missions for the red gang where an Arnold Shwartz kind of character chases you in an indestructible vehicle that you have to escape from. So i'd managed to get away from him and was about 10 seconds from finishing when a lorry slammed into me exploding my car and instantly killing me. Really annoyed me that i'd made it all the way to forgive and forget, lost the gang boss and was nearly off the free way and died by a truck

The eleventh colossus in Shadow of the Colossus is a fucking bastard if he gets you into a corner.

He will ram you into some small dark place and just pound you over and over, causing you to fall down. The time it takes you to stand up is way too fucking long, and when you start your stand up animation, he immediately attacks you again, causing you to fall back down.

This is horrid due to so many reasons.
-One mistake on your behalf, and the battle is practically over.
-The standing up time is way too long, considering you will be watching it over and over and over and over.
-During the standing up animation, you are unable to move or do anything, so he will hit you again.
-He does pathetic damage, it takes a million attacks for him to kill you and just finish this bullshit.
-The pathetic damage stacks with the time you are lying down. It may take minutes to die so you can start over.
-There are so fucking many corners in the goddamned area.

Everytime you die in Too Human. After the first 3 times that gets annoying as hell, and your unable to skip it.

Also, in Soul Calibur 4 whenever you play the computer or someone online their #1 goal is to ring you out with cheap shots. I even apologize if I ring out someone. That's why I always pick the cage stages or stage with 3 walls. That why, if I win or lose, it's legit.

3 days ago I was playing a game of Resident Evil 5 when all of the sudden in the swamp level the damn alligator appeared and snapped my head off, the thing is so damn overpowered that it can one hit you with the slightest of ease. Thankfully the game autosaves right before it or I would've thrown my game out the window.

Yeah - without cheats that game CAN be tricky. Especially on the mission 'Death Row'. That's pretty hard with all of Diaz's Mexican/Colombian gang members hitting you with their cars.

GTA San Andreas really pissed me off a lot too. And usually when I play games, and it asks me to save, sometimes I say no, and that choice just jinx's me because I die right after.

Very odd.. and can make you quite angry. But a game that really got to me whenever I died was MegaMan 8 for that Ps1 lol. He would always die after 2 hits, and make the girliest scream it was very annoying after quite some time. Plus it would be 10 seconds of rings floating around from MegaMan when he died, and added to that, if you didn't reach the checkpoint/the halfway point of the level, you would have to start ALL over again - from the very beginning.

One time, I was at a friends' house playing COD: WaW's Nazi Zombies...
...We were on Zombie Verruckt (Asylum), and I turned on the electroshock traps, and I didn't know if there was any way back to my friend, or if we were cut off from each other until the traps were out (This was when the map was relatively new, and I don't own COD, so I wasn't sure of my way around the map).

So, being the smart and brilliant thinker I was, I said, "Well! This can't possibly hurt me!" So, I ran into the electroshock trap, got electrocuted and was down. My friend then runs to me, saying, "I'll save you!"

And then he runs into the electroshock trap too, and dies. And our game ended at round seven.
We're a pair of geniuses. A pair of frickin' geniuses.

Fighting the first Sin thing in Final Fantasy X. I had no decent equipment, so I spent many hours trying to kill that thing. Call in aeon. Watch aeon get killed. Send in team. Watch them be slowly killed. Send in the last guy. Watch him get killed.

Seriously. I did that about 50 times - probably the hardest part of any game I've ever played. That, or No Fighting In The War Room on Veteran in CoD4.

At least the CoD4 bit was worthwhile - got the full 1000/1000 in it.

In Crysis, running into a barrel is a certain glitch-death.

Again, in Crysis, the auto-save points are far and few, forcing you to constantly go into the menu to make your own save files.

On HL2, where you're driving the buggy along the coast and those mines show up. Well, I had about 3 of them on my car and I was still doing pretty good, so I saved. That was my only save, and whenever I loaded, the mines zapped me and I fell off the cliff.

Mine would be either being killed by a sniper, it's even worse when they're 12-year-old kids that start taunting every single living soul in a server.
That or having a game with automatic saves and having a save where you're extremely low on health causing you to die repeatedly.

In Ninja Gaiden Sigma, when i was fighting Hydracubus for the second time, he killed me when he had just a tiny bit of life left. What made it more annoying is that if i had had one more potion on me, i would have won, but for some reason i decided not to buy it.

Damn damn it...

Lol, I was revisiting Saints Row as well, and I was doing the one of the last missions for the red gang. It's the mission where I have an RPG and I'm supposed to kill the Hispanic guy in the plane. Long story short...I now hate rockets....

And speaking of rockets, they definitely get annoying in [Prototype], especially when you keep getting blasted by them when you get back up.

Anytime I'm killed while trying to actually get something done.

Spending 20 minutes stealthing through a room to avoid the fight due to low health only to be seen right near the end is a big one though.
