I hate having that yellow screened popup that isn't a window its a full screener and the only way to quit out of it is alt+f4 and after about 40 seconds it pops up again and again and again and again. what the fuck?

Go on http://www.download.com then look for POP-UP BLOCKERS. I've got one and had virtually no problems ever since. a few popups have appeared, but it's still amazing how much difference it makes!!

Sometimes bullshit programs will download themselves onto your computer and will create popups. Because I have a great pop-up blocker and this little son-of-a-bitch pops up everytime I turn on my comp. Hope this helps.

ARG I hate those. They go "uh-oh!" then ur tray opens. I don't use popup blockers anymore cuz they don't allow u to view ng cartoons. They view them as popups.

Hmmm I never get any pop-ups. Not one. Maybe cause i use the opera web browser. Download opera, it's is the rock. I kind of kicks your RAM in the balls so you should have at least 256 if you want to do other stuff also.

my program is called "Popup Blocker Pro".

it lets you view NG movies, and you can press CTRL if it doesn't. I use it and it works perfectly fine for me.

Use googles, not only does it block all popups, but it doesn't block anything on NG (thats not a true to life popup). What your popup blockers are doing is not blocking popups, but blocking the new internet explorer thing that you are trying to view.

Also, you may want to get some spyware removal stuff, spyware's are things such as gator and kazaa (sadly) where they either spawn popups(kazaa), remember passwords and spawn popups (gator), or send the host of the spyware every little bit of info it can about your computer, and constantly tracks were you are going on the net (gator sometimes and kazaa). Its really gay, it slows down your computer, and other such stupid things.

DiVX is another one of these programs were you d/l it and you get the spyware. But mainly you just get them from surfing off the net, they auto-download w/o your consent, it should be illegal but isn't.

Anyway, find some sort of popup blocker first (www.google.com then type in popup blocker in the search engine then click ok) and then go find a spyware remover (www.nonags.com or google {google is the best search engine... period}).

Don't get me wrong Shit like the Help Newgrounds pop-ups are fine and of course i'm assuming they get paid for placing them on this site. but i get annoyed by pop-ups that interfere with your NG Browsing abilities. BUT I RAN INTO A PROBLEM..... now i'm not sure what it was but i can no longer view 2 websites. Not gonna name em' but 1 of them is my email. And i run into a screen drcoocher or some shit that says that i can not view this webpage until i get into my registry delete the host file, and do about 4 more steps. What would have caused that?

if your blocker blocks movies or your log in account (like it does me) from coming up, hold down ctrl while its coming up, and it will usually let it through

you can thank me later

Evidently not so, if it doesn't block all the popups.

I had this problem myself and I tried posting it... But as usual, everyone ignores my topic and lets it be killed. I was just doing nothing, and all of a sudden Internet Explorer's buttons and all go away and it leaves me with a screen that says "Hit the Enter Key." Of course, I don't trust computers, so I CTRL+ALT+DELETE out of there hoping I won't see it again.

no, wait. i see the problem... it included "Spyware" with it.

by the way, for people with the Google Toolbar, while your setting it up, it says

"Choose one of the following: 1. Close all internet explorer windows automatically or 2. Don't close them."

^does this just mean the pop-up blocker included, or something else?

D/L Hijack This. It's free, and it gets rid of all malicious spyware, etc.

the google toolbar fucking sucks, it makes a dumb popping noise once it blocks "certain" pop-ups. most of the pop ups on the net get through it now. fuck the google toolbar.

go get mozilla firebird, it kicks ass.
