It was 4kids who destroyed it to make it more "kid friendly" just like they do to everything they get their hands on. They censored some stuff just for the sake of censoring stuff. I can give you a few examples but we've all seen them.

They love to follow Ash because his Pikachu is "special". They don't realize that they could easily steal pikachu while Ash and friends are asleep, but no, they need to do something stupid like build a pitfall, then when Ash and frineds fall in it, they start singing. eventually they actually steal Pikachu then fly away just to get beaten by Ash's bird pokemon that he can't seem to ever evolve.

When that shit first came out I was in like 4th grade and even then I realized how gay it was. All my freinds got into it and tried to tell me how the cards were valuable and you could make alot of money trading them. Yeah, this is almost always the case for anime. For example, when I first saw Excel Saga, it was in japanese with subtitles, and it was fucking hilarious. I went out and bought a few episodes, and when I saw them in english, it was only half as funny.

Pokemon died ages ago. I'm only loyal to season 1, everything else after that got old kind of fast.

Except Cowboy Bebop, Black Lagoon, and maybe the hellsing OVA's. I can list more Dubs but most of these are hit or miss.

Yeah, I never understood that, almost every time one of Ash's Pokemon reach it's final evolve stage (IF it ever does), he releases it, and he'd do it on the same episode it evolves. Then the next time he battles some trainer that he somehow can't beat, he always ends up needing to use a Pokemon he released. Which brings me to why does he not catch more than 6 Pokemon in the new series?And if he cares for his Pokemon so much, why doesn't he name them?

I don't see it happen too often that way. Mostly just for the crappy sh%u014Den anime that gets put on Saturday morning. A lot of recant animes have been putting out much better dubs, only real problem has been some humor like puns.
