In my opinion someone typing 'hahaha' is better than a 'loller'. Normally older people type 'ha' as opposed to 'lol' becuase they don't know what 'lol' means. So someone typing 'haha' is generally more mature then someone saying 'lol'.

I agree. I feel part of growing up is learning when acronyms aren't necessary. I'd only say 'lol' if it was used in a patronising 'leet' speak way. Otherwise, I just say Ha, Hah or Haha.

Infact, I use all 3 of them in different ways. 'Ha' is like patronising and forced laugh. 'Hah' is a short chuckle and 'Haha' implies it was quite funny.
