Why do you hate Runescape?

I've noticed that many people on this forum hate Runescape? Why? Most people have never played it, but insult it. Why do you hate it?

Well I actually did play it, for a couple years infact. Anyway, I don't just hate runescape, I hate every MMORPG equally.

That made me laugh, a little. The only MMO I like is Runescape. Most other ones are crap or expensive. RS is only $5 a month, so I play it. Also, there have been major graphic and audial overhauls.

I never really played it myself (thank god) but I know how bad it is.
Why do people play it? I have no idea. It blows. It's a huge waste of time and money.
You even have to pay to get extra stuff. What a rip off.

Oh, and the graphics suck ass. Worst graphics ever. True, graphics don't make the game, but Runescape already being shitty, it doesn't help much that everything looks like shit.

Oh, and WoW sucks too. Stop playing MMORPGs already. Get a life.

I, actually, used to play it really. Frequently, so did my friends, and my brother, and his friends. I just played until i became level 64, and stopped playing because it lagged too much. Then they updated it so frequently, and some of the people that play are assholes, always saying 'Go away you stupid n00b' or swearing at you because you killed them. Then the other people are jsut so liek chill about everything it's unreal. There's also people that are so quiet, they don't say anything because thy think they are cool, it's like: 'Wtf?'. I don't know - I'm just not too fond of the game anymore.

My brother played until level 93..? He still plays but he is much younger than I am, but it's annoying because him and his friends always call you noob for jokes, in person, on the phone, and on MSN. It's annoying really, I don't hate Runescape, I just don't like it much. It's too obsessive, and such low quality, and it's dumber after every update. Sure it's fun for a bit, but if you don't pay to become a member - it's so boring.

Those are my thoughts on Runescape. :)

Well i played runescape for awhile and i still kind of like it. It's probably the most addicting "free" mmorpg. By that i mean the part you get for free is the most addicting even though about 90% of the game cost money. What i really liked about it was the PvP, It was simple yet challenging. About 30% percent of the players would say good fight after a match. I liked that because i hate it when people are sore losers or winners.
Oh who am i kidding this game sucks. The graphics are good considering its in java but then again why not play a game that isn't in java with graphics that don't make your eyes bleed. Most of the players got frustrated with the game and used cheap tactics like pretending they were beginners then bringing out a huge sword and killing you half way through a fight. besides that, It's laggy and there are a lot of people who use ghost mouse programs to earn money. To make it even worse, They removed the PvP section. That was the only thing keeping it going and they killed it. Over all it might be worth a play just to see it and because it's free, but it really isn't a good game.

It's an alright game, alot of different stuff to do and skills to increase anyway, and pretty awwwrite for a java game.

I used to be addicted to it..I leveld up to 92 and then i got bored..The things i hate about it are the people who complain about everything...The graphics are good for a java game but compared to other mmorpgs it sucks..The game uses luck most of them time not skill..Alot of grinding..Thats what made me quit runescape..

I have played runescape, and was a member for sometime. the reason I hate it is that it consumed my life. Once I stopped playing, I found I had a better social life, and began getting better grades

In the society I live in, if someone found out that you played Rune Scape, you would simply be classified as a "nerd, geek, retard, person that has no life. etc."

To be honest I played it 4 years ago. I wasn't like intense but it consumed a good half hour of my day. So I don't hate it but I do think the kids that play it are homo

It was my first leap into the MMO world and a painful one. The graphics suck, the interface sucks, and just everything about it sucks in my opinion. I could only stand the game for two days then I ditched it.

Really some group of people decided to tell people about it, forget about all the good things about the game. and made people hat it. really I just find this annoying and try to ignore it.
