i think that he does a good job of the stuff he is in but i hate the characters he plays. a good actor in my opinion is someone who could go for any role and ace it, and truthfully i dont know off the top of my head any actor that i would class as awesome.

I'd like to see him play a mentally deranged role where he doesnt fall back to his current acting style, and saying that has made me think of someone Brad pitt is an awesome actor, stuff like 12 monkeys and fight club then to something like mr and mrs smith all totally different roles pulled off so well, and edward norten american history x, fight club again, red dragon remake, the illusionist all examples of mixing it up whereas shia falls into the same roles everytime

also his whiny voice and general appearance anger the fuck outta me

I agree that his style is somewhat limited, but it doesn't make him bad at the roles he's in. Although, he does do some quite different roles, for some examples: Holes, Indy 4, Nausicaa English Dub, etc. Ok, I know the last one was just voice acting, but he did pull it off very well,and I actually liked Indy 4, because I chose to see it as a tribute to the Indy series rather than a sequal, which was how it was meant to be viewed.

Anyway, I agree that there are far better actors out there, but that doesn't mean that he is awful.

I think he's a great actor. He did a great role in Disturbia, and he was awesome in Transformers, as well as Eagle Eye. Don't forget, me played Max in Charle's Angels Full Throttle.

Not just him, but all the actors shat in a massive scat orgy in Transformers and ROTF. Transformers was just kickass robots fighting for me, I just tuned out in the nonrobot parts.

I'm not the only one who thinks he's such a terrible actor. He butchers the transformers series. His old tv series, Even Stevens was canceled accordingly, but he still is here. My brother loves him, and I don't even know why. I back you 100%

I second that. Sure, he's not one of the best actors out there, but he hasn't had enough experience yet. Plus I do find some of his roles to be pretty nice (Battle of Shaker Heights, Holes, Transformers).

I would just hope that he never tries things like Eagle Eye for awhile....

I don't pay attention to acting, but I don't like him because he doesn't have nice tits.

He's like the same character in every movie.

I find him amusing because there is nothing really spectacular about him. He is just a guy who got lucky with an acting career, and more power to him if he doesn't even have to do it well to keep getting roles thrown at him.

Shia, to me, is like the "big wussy" actor of Hollywood. He always plays the role of some inept character in many of the movies.

He was pretty good in Constantine I thought. But like Will Smiff, he can't play lead roles in my opinion.

I think he does his job as best as he can and he tries to convey a degree of professionalism in his acting through his particular brand of personality and experience.
