Missing a sock?

Well I sure have. In fact, many many socks.

Here are a bunch of socks I did not find matches for (the 3 on the right I did find their match.) However, thats a shit ton of socks. It's quite rediculous actually.

In all honesty, I blame the Dryer Gnomes. They like to steal my socks and take them to Antarctica and give them to the penguins to keep their young warm. A noble cause yes, but my feet's warmth is more important.

So how can we defend ourselves against these Gnomes and what do you do when they strike?

You may have a sock in this picture but don't bother. I threw them all out. You just know I'll find their match tomorrow.

I'm missing a few and I hate wearing one if it's slightly different from the other one. Combine that with my OCD and I'm not happy in the slightest. Also, my socks tend to rip themselves apart rather tha lose themselves.

Why do you have that many different kinds of socks? Buy the same type of sock every time and you'll only ever have at most one missing sock at any time.

Oh thank you, someone who saw I threw them away. Besides some of these arent mine. There's also some of my brothers socks in there and he mows lawns for a job, so he gets some awfully gross shit in them.

Add to the fact they were sitting in a bag in my room for at least a year... that shit isn't going away.

Sad thing is some of those were perfectly good socks, but I'm a horrible pack rat so there.

I rember seeing that suggestion a while ago and it's pretty smart, but the thing is this; Why socks?

The Dryer Gnomes only attack socks. My shirts, pants, and boxers are all safe from harm. What do they have against the socks?
