Is it because of sounds... Or graphics... or what?
its the graphics, i put 6 picture off google as backgrounds
Correct me if I'm wrong but..
If you break the pictures, then delete them from the library, wouldn't that reduce filesize?
Also make sure you crop them so that you are using all that you need to see, instead of excess shit laying around.
selete pic, CTRL + B to break
thanks I'll try that, i didn't know that if you break the picture and deleat it from your library it will still leave the image
it didnt work, because when i broke all the images and deleated the from my library, it deleated them from the stage as well.
Reduce the jpeg quality or you can use the trace bit map command but that might lag out.
how do i trace the bit map? not all my pictures are jpeg

First of all, they would have to be bitmap, period (so not a movie clip or anything). Then click on it, go to modify --> bitmap --> trace bitmap. Of course, trace bitmap takes a lot out of the picture and removes quite a bit of the texture and colors. This does remove a LOT of the size though. You could also just reduce the jpg quality - even down to 30 or something as long as it isn't zoomed in it shouldn't be too bad.
thanks man, i reduced it down to 50 already, but all that did was take .1 off of the files size. is there like a website designed for this sort of thing were i can just upload my swf and it reduces the size?
