A friend of mine recently brought a copy of Mike Moore's book ''Dude wheres my country'' into class. The teacher soon saw the book and had my friend go to the dean's office. On the paper that his science teacher gave him to give the dean it said Disaplinary infraction: Treason. I ask you, What the fuck kind of conservative, asshole teacher would do somthing like this shit!

I would have sent him to the Dean for misguided energy rather than treason. Tell him to read Greg Palast instead. Like Moore he's an investigative journalist, but unlike Moore he does a little research instead of taking a couple of half truths and shouting them REALLY LOUD.

Treason? For bringing a Michael Moore book to class? That's a bit harsh.

If it's a privately owned school, this is perfectly reasonable, thier school thier rules, but if it's a public school then you should definately go to the ACLU.
I'm assuming from the fact that you have a dean though that it's private, so it's just another case of free speech Vs. free speech.

No, you should contact the authorities, in this case, seemingly the ACLU and report this intolerance, just as you should report a racist teacher.

Forgive me if this sounds insulting, but that sounds like a big, fat crock of hot, steaming, over-exaggerated bullshit. A teacher cannot do that for simply just bringing a book into class (unless of course it's has porn in it and "Dude, Where's My Country" doesn't last I checked). You're either one; making this up or two; over-exaggerating the story. There's something you're not telling us.
And stop comparing Bush to Hitler. Can't you people conjure up a better analogy than that? Get creative with it. Not every political figure you don't like it Hitler.

Funnily enough, I thought that was actually Hitler, Photoshopped in front of an MSPaint nazi sign, I didn't realise it was a pathetic attempt to demonish bush, that didn't work.

At least read the chapter that goes something like "Our American Conversation about Terrorism" and it's Number 17 or something.

Okay, I hate Bush with a blue (being the hottest color) hot passion, and I think that that picture is funny, but comparing him to a racist dictator is a little too much. However, if he starts sending only jews and gypsies to Iraq, then I see your point.

Also, when Hitler was elected, he actually got more votes than the person he was running against.

Actually i would choose Bush rather than Hitler ruling the world any time, fo the simple reason that Bush is funny. Hitler's not, he just has cheesy gestures. And there wouldn't be much difference between one or another government anyway, so i'd choose the funny geek.

No. This goes to show you that either one teacher is very right-wing, or one person is lying in the start of his. thread.
