It wasn't that bad, but I think it deserved to be blammed. Next time you're making an animation, put sound in, or atleast music. Also, you should have him actually walk instead of move. Third, you should have some sort of plot, it was kind of humorous at the end of your animation, but possibly have a script with voice acting. And last, improve the art. no one wants to see a stick man with a face drawn in 5 seconds.

Also, congrats. It's almost impossible to get blammed nowadays, but you managed to do it. Quite an accomplishment!

The Flash was pretty good. I wouldn't say it didn't deserve to be blammed (you can see the effort, but it's a little short and the character isn't drawn well).

If Spamburger wants to be an asshole, let him be one for he can't help it, just don't respond to him. Also I've seen worse get passed on the portal. Idk people sometimes just blam for no reason, just don't take it personally though.

You know, putting in a few days on a flash isn't working "very hard". Artists like Egoraptor and The-Swain spend months on their flashes, hell, Even my first flash is taking longer than expected. Why? Because I actually care about the flash. I take my time to put details that will make my flash better, while you didn't care and made a stick animation, and a crappy one at that.

In my opinion it was blammed because it looked like anyone could do it in half an hour or less, the scenery was too simple and the character was just a blob of thick lines. No plot, (not that this matters here on newgrounds) no sound nothing to leave a good impression on your animation skills.

If I were you I'd give myself a lot of time to practice and improve on my skills.

I'm not surprised this was blammed. It wasn't very good. I'm sure you did put a lot of effort in it but it lacks a lot of things that make a good flash movie.

Firstly there was no sound. good sound improves the quality of any flash if you dont put any in then it looks really lazy.

Secondly you drew stick figure. This is another sign of laziness. Anyone can draw a fluid stick figure so its not impressive when you see a short movie with a stick dodging stakes or whatever.

Thirdly there was no story. Flash has evolved a lot over the past ten years. ten years ago this would have been good but times have changed. go look at the top 10 submissions and you'll see what i mean.

You need to put a story in it so you need to understand the basics of a three act structure if you want to entertain an audience. also, this animations leads me to believe that you're about 13 or 14 and you just got flash and you're trying it out. Nobody gets their first flash passed. Mine got blammed when i was 15 too and i thought it was great as well. looking back it was a piece of crap. You need to challenge yourself to do greater things.

Stick figures suck. period!

But really, you probably know more about Flash in the time you've posted this, than when you submitted this movie. The 'no sound' thing sucks. The animation is hardly noteworthy. It pretty much sucks.

But, don't give up. That's the easy solution. Work at it. Please. You'll get where you want to go. :)

i dont think it should have been blammed. not completly terrible. jumps are really bad though. ive seen even worse sticks that make it through jusdgement though.

Get a website and post your stuff there, and link in your signature. That way if it gets blammed here on NG, you can still put it up on your personal site. A lot less exposure, yeah, but it's better than never posting it anywhere.

Or you can just keep it on your comp and show your friends, or something. People on Newgrounds aren't fair, that's just life, no offense. A lot of people who write spam have a bunch of friends who come and rate up their submission just so that it passes judgment. Others go around voting zero on every submission they see. It happens.

good quality artwork, smooth animation, properly timed sound effects and a well chosen soundtrack... your movie had none of these. rate your movie on how good it is, not how much work you put into it. you can sit on the toilet all day straining your ass off, but all you'll end up with is crap.

Cause NG is sick of sound-lacking stick flashes that contains no storyline, or good art. To put it simple, it was deserving of a blam. Before you post something on the portal, ask yourself, is someone well and truely going to vote 5 on this? Will someone favourite this submission, or even myself as an artist?

Lack of sound, I didn't really follow what was happening, art wasn't very good.

Still, not too bad for a new flash artist, most flash artists start with similar stuff to this, just keep at it and practice.
