Ok so I've been using Sony Vegas for like a year now and recently my colors have been messing up. I'm not sure if this is the right forum for this but whenever I import something with the color blue all the blue in that slide will become black, everything with the color purple will turn red. I don't know what caused this problem but I need some help.

this forum is for programming languages, not really 'using programs'

chances are you wont find much help here, I'd try googling your problem and/or looking for forums that deal specifically with video editing software.

Well I tried that and cant get a solution, I thought I must have messed with some kind of script within the program. Oh whatever, fuck it.

I don't know anything about Vegas at all, but I know that photoshop has a colour type switcher (thingy ma bob) which changes between the different swatches. Does vegas have something like this?

I think it definitely sounds like something similar to that.. although it sounds like very extreme, rather than just raising contrast or something.. but almost definitely a colour settings problem, something to do with output modes or something.

Of course, googling for specific help with this software is advisable, or I'm sure there's customer support.

Have you tried reinstalling?

The following sentence is true. The previous sentence is false. O_o PARADOX!

I lost my CD key so reinstalling isn't an answer.

with the amount of piracy these days i doubt it'll be as easy as that without some sort of "proof of purchase"

perhaps the colour contrasts in Vegas have been messed around with and need to be reset

Use Adobe Premiere.

I've used Vegas and I've used Premiere and to be honest I find Premiere to be a much better program.
