This is a Halo 3 thread, just so you know whether to keep reading or go back.
Yesterday there was a playlist in matchmaking called "Bungie vs World" in which if you beat a team of 4 Bungie employees, you get recon armor. Did anyone on NG get it?

Gaahh, I tried man. I played about 5 matches, but none of them were against Bungie members. I realized that there was no chance I would get it, so I gave up. I checked the Bungie site and it said they only played about 70 games total, between all the Bungie members. Total shit.

I read on Bungie's forums that only 84 people won themselves Recon. Still, that was about halfway through Bungie vs World, so the number probably increased.

I really don't understand why people freak out so much about getting Recon armor, it really doesn't even look all the cool. I love Halo and all, but I just never really saw why people were always "OMFG I CAN HAZ RECON PLOZ"
I'm curious as to whether everyone will wear it after ODST comes out, and have no variation.

I played a few rounds but I never got matched up with any Bungie teams. There were 100,000 people on alone in Bungie V.S. the World. Amazing. 300,000+ people online over all on Halo 3.
The game is still kicking ass.

It's more a sign of respect than just the armor itself.

Me too. I went through like 10-20 games, but never got matched up.

Yeah, just getting all those skulls and achievements to get it would kinda lower the value, 'cause then anyone can have it...
