It's a toy trying to be a professional DAW. Doesn't work too great. That said, I've noticed a hell load of new tracks coming into the AP claiming to be made with mixcraft - causes extra work for me, there's a lot more sample copyright issues to chase up over it.

Haha, good view. Yeah, i use it, but i tend not to upload my creations, you usually are unable to create many truly original things, due to the limited samples and whatnot.

No ma, you didn't got it. Mixcraft lack originality because of the loops, not because the lack of loops.
If you just arrange blocks of music made by other people, how can that be considered original ?

The latest versions of mixcraft support audio recording and arranging, not just loops. It's still pretty rubbish with it though.

It was a time when for a specific job you had a software to do it.
For music recording and sequencing you had several serious DAWs (Cubase, Cakewalk, Logic...etc) then for electronix you had FL, Hammerhead and Rebirth, for looping you had Magix Music Maker, E-Jay and Mixcraft, for listening music was Winamp and for burning CD's you had Nero.
Now everything changed, Cubase burn CD's, Winamp burn CD's, Nero edit audio and play movies and weirder of all, Magix Music Maker and Mixcraft aim for "serious DAW" target... what's next? Media Player making pancakes ?

Ban for using presets... that's a new one...
That's happen when you have no idea of music terms, confusing presets witl loops, remix with cover and so on.
So, to make it clear, as a moderator:
You'll get banned for using premade loops, not for using presets.
