So who listens to MUSE?

For some reason most of the time whenever I ask a friend if they listen to MUSE, I usually get "Who's that" as a response.

Apparently they're coming out with a new album in september and then they're having a tour in the USA =D

well it's just an opinion, but yeah he didn't really back it up. they're over rated, I think, because they have a generic type english sound, that lots and lots of bands have, and to also be fair, I think radio head is just umm, trying to be oasis, but failing at it, and I don't even like oasis.

muse, muse is ok, but at the same time, i think they're just ripping people off too, but trying to come acrossed as more progressive, theyre almost like an english beck, with no talent really.

Map of the Problematique
Invincible
Starlight
Time is running out
Hysteria
Knights of Cydonia

Just to name a few.

Starlight was the only song I liked from them, but still I think they're a blatant radiohead imitation.

Except, there's rumors that the new album might be all instrumental and/or more expiremental, which means that it is pretty much a huge tossup.

But yes, I am a large muse fan because Matt happens to give me a boner.

I only have their Absolution album, but it's one hell of an album. I must be missing out on a lot of other great shit from them, though. My favorite songs of theirs are Hysteria and The Small Print, with an honorable mention to Falling Away WIth You.

Do a quick youtube search for them, or go on playlist.com. =D

@The dude who talked about the album: I'm mostly happy, that this means they're still around making stuff. I haven't heard anything new from them since what...2006? Something like that. So I'm excited either way XD

Muse is one of my favorite bands. Matthew Bellamy is so freaking talented and some of their songs have the coolest riffs ever ( Hysteria, Plug in Baby, Stockholm syndrome )

Radiohead just sounds...kinda lame to me. I can't really explain it.

But I'm not saying that MUSE is better...just that I personally like MUSE (a lot) more.

You'll find most people don't like RadioHead, and those that do follow them in a cult way.
Like Marmite, you love it or you hate it. ( Marmite tastes like shit )

I do like Muse, although Super Massive BlackHole did nothing for me.
I remember getting a Kerrang magazine when i was about 9, with a free video, on it was Muse Plug IN Baby.

That song still rocks my socks.

To quote your words,

I once heard from a wise man that people who believe it when someone else says that haters of a band have low IQ, have low IQ themselves.
True story.
