It's just a regular DVD drive, only its programmed only to read the Wii-encrypted DVDs and not regular movie DVDs. It doesn't have a name.

you mean an external DVD drive right?

well, first of all, check with nintendo to see if the wii supports that. Second, find the right type of external drive (yes, they CAN be bought). now, assuming hat the wii support that specific drive, follow nintendos steos to conect it. but i don't think the wii can support this kind of device. use an XBOX or XBOX360 for playing disks, or a playstation

If you are trying to ask what kind of DVD drive is IN the Wii, then there isn't one. If that's not what you mean, then I'm not sure.

Nah,

I just wanted to know what the name of the type of disk drive is for a case mod I'm going to do. Which will utilize a PC.

It uses standard DVD's for its games so technically it does.

Yeah, I'm not 100% sure what kind it is. A quick Google search did nothing but confirm the presence of the DVD drive in it.

Be more specific about things like that next time. Like someone else said, it's a slot loader (also known as a slider disc). See second paragraph in Hardware section:
