i don't understand why people get obsessed over two 20 year old "hot" actors playing vampires.does beauty really control the acting industry, not talent? if all i have to do is make girls piss their pants when they see me, then i think i would kill myself for being recognized as "the hottie vampire" than as "thwe cute, talented actor for many a movie".

I HATE THE TWILIGHT MOVIE!!!!!!!!!!! It sucked, but hopefully the 2nd one is gonna be better because there is a new director. The books were really good in my opinion. They were very well written and i felt as if I knew the characters myself. The movie was suckish and most of the characters just LOOKED wrong (Rosalie) Even though I hated the 1st movie, I can't wait for the second to come out! Hopefully Stephenie Meyer will complete Midnight Sun, Twilight in Edward's point of view. I read some and it was fantastic. So I agree with you, the movie sucked. Frankly, the people in the movie aren't even that hot.

Its all symobolism, its basically a love story on steroids. It is an example of a girl who likes someone who is different. Instead of just being different they completely exaggerate this case to an extreme degree in which the boy she likes is so different he's a vampire. Its an extremely immature technique that anyone could do, but for some reason teenage girls seem to like it. They like it cause its unimaginable, something that could never happen, it attracts them. Basically, they like it because the girl always loves the guy no matter what happens and they wish they could love someone unconditionally, at least thats my take on it....
