Okay, technically not aplicable, seeing it's an OS, but it IS a program...

So, real list:
Firefox
Windows Live Messenger

Although most people here probably use Firefox (or at least an alternative to Internet Explorer), IE is in fact the most popular browser in the world with about 70% of the marketshare. Firefox is second and Opera, Safari and Chrome make up the next three (although I'm not sure what order).

I think Firefox has about 10-15% while the others are around the 5% mark. It's not suprising though since all PC's are shipped with Internet Explorer and a lot of people just don't care enough to download a better alternative.

This is because people tend to be afraid of things that are "different" on computers. For example, Ubuntu (Linux distribution) has the ability to compete with Windows 7, if people would just trust it and take a little time to learn how it works.

Well, the reasoning behind that is that IE is standard on all old computers and some, if not most, newer computers.

But don't quote me on this because it's been a long time since I've used my computer software knowledge.

Yeah it is standard on Windows computers, but some may have an old version such as IE 6 or 5.

Also, I wasn't too far off with my statistic guesses. Taken from the Wikipedia link.

Internet Explorer (65.50%)
Mozilla Firefox (22.51%)
Safari (8.43%)
Google Chrome (1.80%)
Opera (0.72%)

Windows Media Player
Adobe Photoshop CS4

uTorrent

That's a fixed list on my Windows 7 start menu, and are the only programs (other than MS Office which I find more convenient to run from the run bar) that I have installed.
