Does the underside of the camera have a company name, ID number, etc?

a mate gave it to me, all i know is that it is a Qpix webcam

Google is telling me that's quite an old webcam! Anyway, this website will give you the correct driver. It may not work on vista though you can always try, if you use vista that is. http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/morein fo/win/25456

it doesnt work it just says ERROR when i click download :(
any other way you can think of ?

Just tried to download it myself, and got an error as well. I found out from Software-Informer that it's a webcam made by a company called Sonix. They seem to be some no-name company though I can't say for sure. Your best bet would be to look around the site for an email or phone number, and ask them in person for the driver, if it truly exists in a non-CD form

I should also note that in my searches, I kept getting pages related to a download called Qpix 3.5.3, with nearly no description as to what it is, aside from saying it's some 4D image processor for Mac.
