Close Call

So yesterday as I was walking to my place of employment - a barber shop - I made a near fatal mistake; I didn't look both ways before crossing the street. So as I was crossing this street I heard a car horn and I almost got hit by a truck. I kid you not. It was quite possibly the scariest moment in my life. I was cured, from now on I will always remember to look both ways.

Have any of you kind folks ever experienced something quite as frightening as this? Please share.

The same exact thing happened to me. I just wasn't comnig from a barber shop. I went into the street and a truck stopped dead in front of me. I went into shock.

When I was like 9, I jumped on my couch flat out on my stomach with a fork in my hand (I know...fucking dumb) and when I landed, my face came down on the fork and I almost took my eye out but luckily it grazed the side of my temple.
