I've been to both actually, but I've not been up the Sears since I last went to the States... that would be in 2001. I'd probably give that ledge a try actually, just to see if it's any better than your standard "see-through floor" section. Actually, I think the CN Tower had/has one of those. As awesome as it was, it was hard to see things due to how often people are using it. As expensive as going up tall buildings for look-out spots can be, I'd like to give it a try.

Yeah, the Blackpool Tower isn't quite as high as the Sears Tower though... and while I'm aware Chicago can be a pretty grim city in some areas, I've got to say Blackpool isn't particularly glamourous. I mean, my Grandad was acting as a guard in Blackpool during the war, and it's a running joke that the Germans flew over the place, assumed it had already been bombed, and left.
