Ok, this is the suggestion forum as far as I can tell, so here is mine. Implementing a friends feature would be really cool, and it could look like this. Also, why no .png format? I find they are smaller and retain higher image quality.
I'm not sure if this was ever suggested, but anyway I drews a pictures!

Ha ha! Of course Tom would beat me to it, but uh... "Top friends" is totally myspace vomit. Who the fuck cares about being a top friend? What ever that means. Just friends or buddies will suffice, I'll put no human above any other.
Side panel is interesting, I'd like to be able to move everything around, but w/e.

You're not alone. Many people in that thread were saying things such as "MyNewgrounds" etc... I'm pretty sure it won't be like that (that is, if they ever implement it), they should give it some tweaks, listen to the public's opinions (like they did with the wide-layout)... Lets just wait, I haven't heard anything about it since that post.
