Frog in my throat?

Today I've discovered an unusual feeling "lump" in my throat, my throats been sore for the past few days, and not the normal, "Swallow something, and then pain" type of sore, sore more of the exterior of your..whatever the technical term for throat-hole is. It's above the Adam's Apple, and just below my chin. I'm in a way worried, with all the different types of cancer headed around these days.

Newgrounds, can you give me some kind of insight on what this lump is, or what it means?
