What makes people post topics?

I mean, whenever you post a topic, you're practically on a chopping block for a ban. It may not seem like much, but sometimes people want to speak their mind every now and then.

So my question to all you BBS regs is this: What makes you post here on a whim?

Sometimes people want to discuss things they can't with live people.

To ask questions, to gloat about something you did to rub in the faces of us newgrounders, to get people to feel sorry for you, to make people/yourself laugh, ect.

It's a forum, it's meant to be posted on.

Like i'm sure some mod could be a dick and consider this thread spam, but I consider it to be an intelligent conversation with multiple possible answers, which is the base of a good thread.

I create topics when I'm grinding in a SNES RPG and the sheer boredom makes me think, "Hey, what would happen if...?" and then I post about it. I've recieved two bans for borderline-spam topics, had a few more deleted for being spammy, without a ban, but most of my topics get posted and reach about two pages. :) It's worth the risk if you care about the subject, because chances are, if you give a damn what you're posting about, it's not spam anyways.

Well, since I'm incredibly paranoid, I normally lurk for hours, and then post maybe once.

I fear of getting banned because of all those times when I had under 200 posts. Maybe the mods over-did it a bit?

Although, I will laugh if I get banned for this thread.

Well shit, I've had a few bans, big whoop? No.

We post to communicate, to help others, to get and give ideas. We also post because of humorous things.

I generally don't make new topics... Not making new topics lowers the rate of fail by 20 percent.

When ever I have something to say. My antisocial syndromes are often what gets me banned in posts, I don't usually get banned when creating a topic because I am lateral & serious.
