Well, technology does lots of shit over the years. At least we have keyboards, right? We'd be fucked without them today, y'know.
Anyways, that sounds really nice. Light-up keyboard that isn't too bright, but isn't too dark. I'm not sure of any, but I'm sure other users can suggest some.

ive never seen one, but they sound pretty sweet... so are the keys lit up individual, or is it a special plastic?

I'm not quite sure what brand mine is because I got it for my graduation. It is pretty cool though and I think you should get one.

My brother's new Dell laptop has an LED keyboard. I think the lights are placed under the keys, i dont think each one is individually lit.

Logitech a great company, you can buy good stuff there.
They have some nice and good keyboards for a a price.
Take a look at this keyboard for example.
This gaming keyboard is pretty good and also has lights in it. Reasonable price too.

I don't know any good brands, but I know that ThinkGeek has some nice ones. I'm actually contemplating getting one soon. Depends on the money value.

I bought a G15 gaming keyboard.. a little expensive but it's nice. I don't really use the macros or anything, but it has an LCD screen and can display your email and other stuff, I think it's cool. It lights up orange so you can see the keys in the dark if you suck at typing. I got mine for a bit over 100$. It's a nice keyboard really.
