Yeah I miss the people who were on in 2005 and from what I briefly remember in 2004.

there were real users who made great topics, they seemed to embody what Newgrounds was all about from a teenagers perspective.

They stopped giving a shit, like i will when im 20. And then they re appear every once and a while.

That's pretty much the case with me... I think I'm an '05 user... Not THAT big of a deal, but even now I don't go on the forums all that much. I could be extremely popular, I just don't really give that big of a shit.

Uh... you DO realize that your definition of 'old users' (ie: signed up before 2000) is a 16 day window of signups, right? Even some of those regulars that frequented the site before Grounds Gold launched didn't manage to sign up within that 16 day span before the year rolled over to '00.

I made an account way back in '02 but I was never active on the forums and I eventually forgot the pw and email. Then I came back and made an account again.

I wish I still knew what that 02 account was...that would make my e peen on this site grow about 4 inches.

If I had been on a forum like the BBS for nine years I think my posting habits would slow a hell of a lot. We regular users get pissed at repeat topics all the time, but imagine seeing the same topics every day for nine years? I wouldnt fancy posting my opinion on something repeatedly year after year.

That would just get frustrating. I remember using Newgrounds when I was a wee lad back in like 2000, never bothered signing up because I thought forums were gay or stupid or something. I just wanted to play violent games, and watch stupid cartoons. If I had signed up then to post on the BBS I doubt I'd still be here.

They're not at all extinct, you'd find a few here and there but they're just not as active as some of the more regular people to sign-up. When you see them it has its charm.
