It's amazing how many people are right around 10.00 VP right now. Good thing you managed to squeeze in there before the last update, so you didn't have to wait all week to see your name with the 4-digitness next to it.

But there was more to the story than just that. After all, a round-trip private jet trip and hand delivering a BBS post wouldn't take a whole week! No, it seems that Tom Hanks took a side trip through the Canadian wilderness. He stopped to take a drive to a lake where he was to skate on natural frozen ice for the first time in his life, but alas... his car got stuck in a huge snowbank along the way. Yes, folks... on the road that day... it seemed that Tom Hanks had, in fact, encounted a massive Snow Problem.

It's no problem (wink to MPA). Rankups not going far enough?! Hm. Well, really, the more and more exp you have to back it up, the higher your VP should be boosted by each rankup. But I guess you mean in terms of passing people on the list. That's true, of course... but passing people on the list isn't the only good thing. Just gaining the actual VP is good, too. And hey, if you keep on moving up and up and up, you'll move from the 2% ranks to the 7% and 5% final ranks. And those rankups go QUITE far. #;-}>

I meant to catch up on a bunch of threads (as many as I could get to, besides level up!) earlier today, but stuff came up after I caught up on just 4 non-major threads, so... I'm back later just to post in my two list threads, as usual. We'll see if I can manage to catch up a bit more by my X-mas family trip. Because I don't want to let even MORE posts pile up over that period... without having caught up beforehand. (sigh) Sooo...

Hmm, I managed to rank up just before Christmas! Looks like my earlier prediction of ranking up before the year's end was somewhat accurate. Now it's going to be a looooong time for the next rank up though.

I just ranked up for a whopping total of 6.24 votes - pathetic. I'll probably never be on this list, try as I might...congrats to all.

Welcome to the final 2004 update of the Top 500 Voting Power List! #500 is up from 7.29 VP to 7.31 VP. The number of tracked people in the spreadsheet is frozen at 1283 until ShittyKitty gets back from his winter vacation in mid-January and resumes data pulls for his NGTL.

There were six rankups in the top 100 VP this week (and FOUR of them were in the top 25 alone--AMAZING!). Congrats to YoinK, innphernoe, staphita, Wylo, Myst, and IM_KOOL_R_U. SUPER congrats to YoinK and IKRU on their awesome +0.60 and +0.45 EG General boosts and great job hitting 13.00, Yoink... And an impressive job by the top 25 overall, as I already mentioned. Too bad I don't track us specifically, eh? I managed to miss the bullet this time, but innphernoe (trying to get back to the top 10, eh? Good luck, man) and staphita sure hit a bunch of people. Yoink and Wylo took down fewer people, but still moved up in VP nicely. So... all in all, the combined VP of the top 25 has risen... :::checks::: from 298.06 to 299.40. Nope. The only list I thought of back then was the one I made shortly after getting to the top 50: the Top 50 Protectors List. I wasn't thinking about tracking people outside the top 50 b/p list much. I was doing a bit of it on my own while I was between 100 and 50, but... I mostly just b/ped the hell out of my account and enjoyed the rankups and the BBS. Wasn't worried too much about who I had to get over to make it, until I was actually at #51. #;-}>
