There is a distinct pattern of utter tat being number one, but it falls out of the top 50 after a while, allowing the submissions deserving of a spot at the top more time to shine.

Most of the hentai on this site is funnier than it is hot. The Teen Titans parodies that Zone-Sama shit out are no exception. Although it is a great animation and funny as hell.

I'm concerned about your concern. Seems like you've been here long enough to know that it won't be going away for a long time.

It's like they said, "The Internet Is For Porn". Sorry dude, that's just how these things work. I mean, I thought the flashes were well-animated and I liked the voice work but I admit it was very painful to watch (again, that's just me).

Yeah I agree... I don't really appreciate the hentai being on the front page. I personally don't think pornographic flash movies/games should be in this site at all actually.

I think this site should not be run by hormone-crazed teens. I think we should have ACTUAL GOD DAMN TALENT GET FRONT PAGE, NOT A BUNCH OF ANIMATED CHICKS GETTING RAPED BY ROBOTS.

The user base on the otherhand... Well Wade posted the stats earlier, showing most users are 18-24.

If the wrong people see too many adult flashes on the front page, NG may have to get one of those age confirmation things every time you visit the home page... no one wants that,

Well you guys and gals got 2 options:

1: Don't like it? then leave Newgrounds. Cause complaining about on the forums not really going to make tom or wade say "O you know what i going to remove toon porn from Newgrounds cause 5 users are complaining about it" Just deal with it... No one is making you WATCH the flash. I don't see a gun too anyone head and someone behind you say "Watch this or die"

2: Vote for something else that better and it will replace the flash (and this is the better of the 2) There are over 100 flashes a DAY alone that coming out alone.... Watch those flashes and vote on how they presented the flash.

The only reason most flashes get to the top of the board is {Content, Plot, presentation and Graphics}... (well not all 4 but sometimes 2 or 3 of the 4.)

So to end my rant I leave you with this.... "you can please some of the people some of the time. But you can't please all of the people all of the time."

I thought the point of Newgrounds was to express your creative impulses in any way you want. Whether that's creating something wholly original, or doing homage to nostalgic intellectual properties (or just totally ripping them off). People gravitate to certain things, and those same certain things turn others off.

Example: The "There She Is!!" series has consistently held spots in the top 50 for quite some time. And for me, rightfully so. But I know that there are others who just don't get the concept and wonder why oh Earth it just doesn't sink in the charts.

And not to start the whole violence over sex debate, there have been plenty of submissions that are obscenely violent that make it not only on the front page, but also the top 50. If you're going to police obscenity standards, why is sex such a hot button topic and not bathing in someone's innards when they're cut in half? No one is forcing you to watch any of the flashes here. And it's not your responsibility to prevent others from being jaded by these submissions. You're not the parents of these kids. And if their parents were truly concerned, then they'd either prevent their kids from going online to begin with, or force their kids to surf with parental guardian software installed, thus preventing them from seeing Newgrounds at all.

I guess my bottom line sides with Zone-Sama in the sense that this flash -- along with a good deal of her work -- is deserving of some recognition based on quality and presentation. It's very, very well-made, and well beyond the capability of many artists. Who am I to pass my own personal judgments on the content? If that's how she chooses to express her creativity (paid commission or not), then that's her prerogative. If I don't like it, then I simply ignore it and watch something else. Or go watch Keyboard Cat on the youtubes again...

It's not as if the porn on the site is that hard to navigate around. It claims its own section, and entries are marked with MA ratings. If you don't like it, simply don't view the material. I believe that these kind of entries are certainly deserving of the front page + top 50 specifically because they excel in artwork, animation and humor. It shouldn't matter to a degree, the content that they have.

We've long known 13 year olds do not make up the majority of the site, but now after our survey we can show that 13 year old users are in the minority. The majority of our users are in the 18-24 age range.

Actually, thjat chart shopws that the majority of the users here are underage.
And I'm not bashing Zone, I love Zone's work. But It bothers me to knwo that my 14 year old little brother who likes to visit this site for the games had hardcore porn jumping at him on the frontpage and #1 slot on the flash portal. I'm not saying adult content should be banned, just made so that you have to look for it ot find it. Like maybe only being able to see adult content if your logged in on an account thats over 18. Not saying minors cant lie and make fake accounts, but at least it would be something.

You're forming this opinion based around this being a site meant for kids. The first submissions to this site (by Tom himself) were about death and shooting and beating up celebrities and adult parodies of the Teletubbies. This site was based off adult material, so saying that adult material should not be honored, especially when it's such amazing animation like that of all ZONE flashes, is ridiculous.

It isnt dark or creative, you're thinking of Catoblepas's stuff. The movie was just hentai and lolicon which can be seen on any porn site. There is a large difference between the old things like Emkah and this.
Zone-Sama, which is probably a group. Hates Newgrounds and regularly submits Demo's consisting of tweens and then occasionally a full hentai movie hoping NG suckers will bite and go to its website.
If you checked through the pages it really is just a bunch of adverts excluding the few things like the above movie.
Not saying it should be deleted or banned also only 8000 took that poll when hundreds of thousand as you ahve said many times visit the website. I dont think many 11- 13 year olds fill out polls.

Alright, this is ridiculous. People will ( and should ) animate whatever the hell they want to. It making the Front page and Best of has nothing to do with "hormone crazed teens", in fact if any of you retards actually read all the posts instead of skimming the topic then blurting out what everyone else already said ( and Wade himself refuted ), then you would have realized only 28% of the people that have accounts are 16 and under.

So that means that only 1.75% of the people are 13, and therefore Newgrounds couldn't possible be "run" by them. But honestly did any of you see it? It was professionally animated. In quality it was as good as a Brackenwood flash. That's why it was put on the front page, not because an army of perverts, and 13 year olds hunted it down, and relentlessly 5d it, without even watching it. I watched it because of this thread, and honestly i think it deserves any praise it gets. Do any of know how difficult it must have been to make that? It probobly took months.

Search hentai on NG and you will get tons of results. But if you go through every page I'll bet anything that 99% of them haven't even been close to the front page. Seeing how this is different only in it's quality, it must have gotten to were it was now by being exceptionally animated and even kinda funny.

Here's how EVERY person votes on something here: They watch the submission, think of how well it was animated, how it sounded, if the story was good bad or non-existent, and they rate it 0-5 on all of those things and how much they enjoyed it.

NOBODY and I mean NOBODY votes based on the title or summary alone, so just shut up and let people make, vote, and watch what they want to.

P.S. If you honestly want to make a certain kind of animation eligible for awards or front page, then your by definition against everything NG is. It's a place were people make things and have them seen by a huge crowd and given feed back on it regardless of what it is. If you make hentai basically illegal here then your blatantly censoring, and according to this thing that you apparently forgot about called the First amendment, that's illegal plain and simple.

I'm not a a fan of hentai, I just hate it when people are ignorant, and get all pissy about slightly questionable things and just spew out what crosses their mind without really caring what they say or how ridiculous they sound.

Yes like my sister has known this site but doesnt care for the forums just the funny flashes but just because some girl could make a really good hentai vid it has to be on front page. Im not saying delete it, im not saying its bad but to be on the front page seems a bit much (I mean I watched her first three ones and I thought they were good but for a hentai to be on frontpage is just pushing it a bit). But its gone from the front page and is lowering in the flash portal so I think we wont be hearing about it.
