Concerned about hentai...

I'm a little concerned about the hentai on this site. Don't get me wrong, I have no objections to adult content and whatnot. but when Flashes such as Jynx Hentai Parody are getting frontpage and holding the #1 spot on the flash portal, it makes me nervous. I don't know exactly who I should direct this opinion to, but I don't think extremely sexual content should be eligible for frontpage or "Best of" listings. It seems like its just one step too close to this site taking a turn in the wrong direction.

"In the wrong direction" I'd be interested to know what you mean by that? And yes I agree, it is frustrating to see Hentai get #1 on the Portal, but you have to remember that the majority of users on this site are 13 year old kids who vote 5 on anything sex related, especially well animated hentai parodies of their favourite shitty little shows. Its score will drop soon enough...

It's not like hentai is always holding a number 1 place. In time, it will move down the chart and be topped by other more wholesome titles.

Animation and humour wise, it's worthy of holding a high place anyway.

Well, it depends on how you see it. As long as the hentai isn't dominating over other original flashes, then it really isn't a problem, and seeing as how only hentai flash makes it way into the #1 spot occasionally, there really is nothing to worry about.

I think it's a bit of an overreaction about the Hentai piece being number one. It obviously is upvoted because it's porn, but it is also very solid animation.

Eventually people will get over it, the haters will vote it down, and peace and order will be restored to the portal.

you must understand while it remains on the front page for all the N/A - Age / Males to view beacuse they dont understand the portal to well... its going to get alot of attention and mulitiple views n 5 votes... as soon as its off i wouldnt be surpirsed if it slipped away quietly... the amount of reg's on the portal will vote 0 on it and restore it to its orginal 4.sumthing score so its no longer in the runnings for top spots... i agree its a very well done animation but its content is what is really keeping the score up... it will pass in time untill another similar flash comes along and does the same... and then we have the same little chat alllll over again... its newgrounds... theres lots of young users who are immature who vote 5 on these things... live with it...

I don't like hentai but I agree with you-it's disgusting. A year ago I complained about the other Teen Titans hentai entries here-I protested and tried to get the admins and mods to remove them. Nothing was done-they didn't see anything worng and they told me to take a hike. They argued it was acceptable because they aren't real kids-I disagreed with them. I went as far to try to find an online agency that deals with child porn.

chill out... the reason it wasnt removed was the fact it was rated as adult and thus only adults should watch it... also the fact that they are cartoon gives them no real age at all... you can say that they look like children but the fact of the matter is you cant prove it...

overall the animation is now OFF front page and slowly losing its score... its no longer on the top spot and will most likey be forgoten about in a few weeks...

i can understand what you are saying but the demand for this sort of thing must be there otherwise it would be made?...

at the end of the day... these things will always be around and you cant really do anything to stop them...

I'm a Christian so hentai goes against my beliefs anyway. Zone-Sama is notoriety as a web hentai artist. He/she makes these types of Flashes 'cause people pay him/her to.

They should modify submission icons for adult entries because minors can see them, and adult only entries should ONLY be brought up when you search for them in the MATURE section, not out in the open when you use the search function on the top of the banner at the top of the screen when you do a GENERAL search. The mods/admins told me you have to contact the artsits who submit the flash entries about changing their submission icons.
