Dj hero thread.

So I was just wondering what you guys think about the upcoming DJ hero.

I think it's a pretty neat idea, and if they execute it right, it could be ace.

However, from that, it's pretty tough to tell if it's gonna be good or not.

Looks pretty complex on screen, but the guy doesn't look like he's doing much with the controller.

What do you guys reckon?

I think that the game wont be too bad for the people who like that type of genre there aiming for. However, DJ versus guitar was such a bad idea, the guy who came up with that should be shot. I Personally think their just milking the hell out of the guitar hero name.

I think it's really cool that they're making original remixes of all the songs in the game, but that's pretty much the only good thing about the game. At this point I'm tired of spending tons of money on instrument controllers. I already spent $200 on my Guitar Hero instruments, so I really don't feel like spending another $100 just to play this new game.

Anyway, on topic - the game look like it might be interesting, and possibly fun, who knows? I've never been a huge fan of hip-hop or dance, so I doubt that this title is for me, but the use of the turntable peripheral looks interesting, and quite complex, so I imagine it could get quite hectic on the higher difficulties.

I definitely agree with ironraven though, Guitar Vs DJ is a horrid idea.

While the DJ idea seems pretty fresh, and the gameplay vids floating around actually look genuinely cool, I just can't afford a DJ Hero DJ Deck especially when I've only got a passing interest in the genre anyway...........

I was highly doubtful at 1st, but this looks like it was well thought out and could actually work. I will have to see more though. Hearing DJ Shadow was involved is definitely a plus for me. The music is a little bit more up my ally then guitar hero, so I might actually like it.

I think it looks pretty cool, but the price is definitely a killer. Same thing with Tony Hawk Ride. I wonder what Activision will do if both these games bomb.
