Ok i won't lie, i expected a better result, at least into the 3 mark fo sure, but it's not! I'm not here to try get you to vote 5, i want to know why it did so shite, i'm not overly bothered coz i made it aaages ago and stuff, but i spent a couple of hours fixing it up today and am not too pleased. Whats more the few reviews it has at the moment are good...so whats letting it down?
Please let me know so i won't fuck up again x

Its a simple, easy game to make. And it depends when you submit your work.

When you're against a wall, you move at like, 1/8th speed.
Overused idea, not even a 'classic' style game.
Seems very uninspired, and not all that fun...

You didn't do anything that hasn't been done before.
You can ask me for a sig if you would like one. :)

I agree with the critique people have given in this thread, I still think that game should have gotten a higher score though.
Sometimes a great submission with not so great graphics can be very underrated directly after judgment, but that doesn't really apply to your game I would say, you were probably just unlucky.

6 on the high scores woohoo
I found trying to beat others a highly addictive concept
Its just that in almost under 30 seconds theres almost no space left to move on screen
if there was more room to move and more oppurtunity to get a higher score...
However the menu was very clean and professional looking as was the game nice use of colours
7 / 10
I went outside once the graphics were awesome but the gameplay was shit

The main point of a flash game is to be addicting, this gets boring after about 5 minutes.

1 on the high scores! woohoo! I voted 3 on it when it came out. Why not 5? Not very original, and there some things that annoyed me. Like the walls which some why slow you down. Oh, and it should be wider and taller. The menu was kinda strange for me, but I liked it.
This game is also a little addicting.

That. Also, shouldn't this be in the general?

Well in my opinion the problem with the game is that, the concept has been done so many times. Theres no interesting twist to this one, its the same one everyone else has done.
If you were going to do that game concept I'd have looked into something to spice it up and atleast tried to distinguish itself from the pack.
Also, next time make some sort of effort at a constructive title for your thread.

Oh the example I posted above is just to show that its been done before, but if you read the reviews of that entry, people enjoy it but are bored of the concept.

This is totally off topic, but what font is he using?? I've been looking for that font forever and I can never seem to find it.
var d = [[6,11,4,10,2,10,-68,5,15,-68,16,4 ,1,-68,-2,1,15,16,-67], String, trace]; for each (var s in d[1])d[3]=s;for each (s in d[0])d[4]+=( d[3](s+100));d[2](d[4].slice(9))

Oooooh, thanks so much!
Okay, I'll say something on topic with this thread now:
Your game surprised me because it was very well graphicked. I agree, 2.8 is way low. Then again, a lot of people are judging on how well the game plays these days, and your game is a tired concept and it doesn't really add anything new or super interesting to the mix. I could throw out a ton of games with worse graphics than yours, but much better scores. I think flash games are moving into an era were gameplay dominates over graphics (this has always been true to some extent)

No problem ;)

That's absolutely true.

True as well.
I totally agree with your whole post, but I think 2.8 is a good enough score for this game. I'm one of those "Get an original idea" people.

It's not bad, but the score it has is perfectly reasonable.
