I know it's a combination between good coding and good art, but I'd rather play a game with good art and bad coding, than play a game with bad art and good coding.

I disagree here. I think a game with good programming and simple art can be very successful. While a game that has Luis's art with amateurish programming would more certainly not be very successful.
