Okay, I'm very new to Flash, so I've been having a bit of a tiough time animating properly, and the current video I've been working on has taken almost 20 minutes to get possibly 8 seconds of screen time... My general problem is, Every once in a while, w/o locking the Layer, I just cant erase or draw over an image, and I made for sure that I was not in a new frame, but a keyframe. So, if anyone has any hints, please help me out.

Is it an object or a symbol you're trying to draw over?

Well, I'm not positive it's an object(still a noob) but I know I just drew it up, and I didn't change it to a symbol(woot I know how) should I have?

Also make sure it's not on a separate layer.

If you select it with the cursour tool, and a blue box appears around it, then it's either a symbol or a group.

Ahhh, then I think it's a group, because I see the blue box around it, how do I go about making it not a group?

And it (probably) is changing symbols to groups because you have some option (forgot the name...sorry) on. It's under the color selection when you are using the paint brush.

Um... any other ideas, because the button is a light gray meaning I cant use it, and I think that means it's not a group...
