"I quit"

I feel like the only one who quits at almost everything they try to do. Mostly flash, but some of the times it's easy tasks. Like cooking. I once threw out a whole pot of rice because I was impatient with how long it was taking. I gave up and ordered pizza, lol.

Now that the summer is here I want to try and be dedicated to the things I've started around the house but lately I don't really have the patience or tolerance for these long lasting projects. I just feel like kicking back and relaxing. Though if I just sit around for too long I'll just forget about everything. I wish I was as determined as TSF (ThoseSneakyFrench) when working on easy things such as completing summer homework or cleaning out my closet.

How often do you give up tasks that you were prepared heavily for? What keeps you going?

Yeah, i'm often extremely impatient with everything I do, particularly art. I'm a perfectionist, so even if it looks halfway decent, i'm not satisfied with it.

I thought of giving up my first flash project I'm working on now. Since I quit a lot of things, I pretty much forced myself back into it. I'm glad I did.

I give up on cleaning a lot because I get lazy and I think it's too big of a mess for me to handle. I've also gave up on video games because they frustrated me. I've quit pretty much all sports because I've tried so many times I'm sure I'm a failure. The list goes on and on.

When you say this, I assume you're talking about my LEGO and NG computers. Seeing something through is all about having the motivation to do it in the first place. For my cases mods, it was the notion that I could be proud of my end product, and also that I would look like a fucking idiot not finishing them after posting worklogs.

For your summer homework, you need to tell yourself that it counts for a grade, and that your grades matter. If you can't find it in yourself to give a fuck about grades, then you'll end up not doing your work.

That used to be my problem. Then I found out about a guy named Jame Rolfe ( The Angry Videogame Nerd) who makes short films. He came up with a term called cinemassacre. He would make a film and if something didn't work he wouldn't freak out and try to make it perfect. He would just say "cinemassacre it".
