Just wondering what programs are out there that you guys use. Any free or Pay for ones worth checking out? I'm an Artist by trade, but I like to dabble in music.

I use a cup, some duct tape, and a goat. Works wonders!

What sample rate is your goat ? knowing that you're a Mac user, is your goat a AU or RTAS ?

I use a Lyre bird, and a nice microphone. I first put the Lyre bird in a cage blasting nothing but straight up acid house for a few hours, then I procede to record the birds interpretation of such.
Still struggles to get the transients out of my TR909 kicks, but I forgive him.

computer? Im still using this thing that says Studer 24 track 2 inch tape machine. the only computer I have is a IBM XT 4.77mhz 640kb ram DOS 3.11 CGA friggin cool graphic card.

Look at the audio sticky MH16 linked you to. It's there for people new to music making to get answers to questions like this. We see a bigajageelion topics like this, which you also would have noticed if you used the searchbar at the bottom of the page.
