I agree, it actually took me a couple minutes to find anything myself. The mixed outlines from various users should be an indication that it's actually not as noticeable as the original poster implied. The only way we'll ever know for certain is if the artist who created the banner comes forward in this thread.

I believe it's simply a fluke.
