Look at the season 1 reviews and ratings. Go progressively further into the newer episodes and you'll see a gradual decline in reviews and ratings. So it's not just some of our opinions, it's almost a poll.
Season 1 Season 2 Season 3 Season 4 Season 5 Season 6 Season 7 Season 8
Now compare Season 1 to Season 8 and compare ratings + reviews.
I know this is not a perfect source, but it's just an observation.
Opinions?

I like new Simpsons and new Family Guy better than old, because it plugs new pop culture things, and that's the only reason I really watch these shows. Drama programs and dramadies are the only two TV show types I really care about having a consistent plot, and I firmly believe in those shows not lasting TOO long (the new season of Scrubs Braff was signed for after the finale really pissed me off).

The new season (after the finale) without Braff hasn't aired yet... Also, they've decided to do a spin-off instead taking place in Med School.

Yeah, it may not be as good as it was in its prime. I think any show that goes on for more than five seasons. After a while it's just going to start treading already covered ground. Even if it's not fresh anymore it still makes me laugh and that's really all that matters to me.

Family Guy's pretty good in small doses, but I can't watch the same episode twice, especially if it's from a more recent season. It gets kind of old after a while.

That doesn't really prove anything. It could be that the website has had a decline in users/voters since the new series, or that people just aren't voting on it as much now.
There are too many variables to make this conclusive of anything.

I'm just saying it's gone downhill from earlier episodes. Now they rely on all there cutaways for laughs, back then they could actually make the characters do and say funny things.
I personally think Seth is trying to see how far he can go and how many people he can piss off.

Ok, I agree the first few seasons were the best and it has gotten worst. That doesn't mean it sucks though, the reviews for the most recent seasons are 7 which isn't bad.

Don't get me wrong I still watch it...but its just to predictable now. The old humor was more preferable to me than now. I still watch it but its just not as enjoyable for me. Your entitled to your own opinion.
