How much bandwidth do you think NG eats up on a monthly basis?

Yeah, everybody guess and then I'll have Tim post the actual answer. He's been looking for something to post about for about a week now.

Well I was thinking about it, and I noticed there was almost 10 grand in posts just yesterday. Seems interesting to find out. It's gotta be BIG.

Posts are gonna be near nothing, text isn't very demanding. It'll be loading 2mb of flash for 1000 different viewers that'll do it mostly.

You know, I dont even know what bandwith is measured in, so I'll guess 10,348,211 Gigawatts.

I know the flash and audio alone will make it daunting, but a lot of posts will add a nice little bit to it.

Did a bit of hunting. NG's primer says we get 500,000 unique users per day, and alexa says they spend around 7 minutes on NG, so I'm gonna say they download around 5mb of data each.
So I'm going to say 2.5 Gigabytes... so 20 gigabits.

Quit the shitload, probably more than BBM's guess of 20 gigabits, probably about 25 or 30 Gb.

Hold up, are we talking in a single day? Per second? or throughout the month?

I'll take a stab at it and say around the 18 to 20 gb range.

Actually, make that 5TB. And that's generous of me.

AT&T has about 16 petabytes of data transferred through their networks each day. I would guess newgrounds uses a petabyte a month....

We only have 500000 unique users a day, unlike AT&T, who has nearly a billion.

I don't know what unit bandwidth is measured in, but I'm gonna say 20,000. That's probably a stupid answer as I know nothing of the average bandwidth speed or anything like that.
