Ads in-game

Newgrounds really needs to get rid of the ads that are in the loading screen. I was trying to play a game called 'Boxhead: Zombie Wars' (great game by the way), and this ad came up in the loading part and for some reason the only way I could play the game was by going to the actual website. There was no 'Play' button on the screen. I am new to the website and I can't find a specific forum section to post this so this is where I'm putting it. I would greatly appreciate it if the ads were shown in a seperate area so this problem doesn't occur again to me or another person. Please fix this.

I just realized something. If this had been made in any other forum, the people would kindly advise him not to post in all bold and tell him kindly what's wrong with his request to have ads taken out, and how to enjoy the game by skipping the ads.

I agree the ads can get annoying like in Epic Battle 3 when you finish a mission and are enjoying your cash rolling and then a really loud and annoying ad for Citi Bank comes on. Even if I left the end of mission screen during or prior to the ad it would play through while on the main World Map and if you move fast enough to the next mission it would still be going during the beginning of the battle.
As much as I hate ads of any kind I know we need em cause the site I know and love is still producing entertainment for free. So product placement has to be done since time spent here is time not spent buying stuff or watching commercials on TV or hearing em on the Radio or reading em in Magazines or seeing em on bill boards benches and buildings....god I hate ads.

Thank you HellBound, people like you are the reasons i try to stay at NewGrounds. All you people had to say was that his text was in bold and answer his question, but since newground is filled with kids, they all have to flame the yamming man for a mistake. It's embedded in the actual game, take it up with the author and if you want to compensate for the monthly intake of money he gets, I'm sure he will be more than glad to take the ads off for you, but it's completely at his discretion on whether to put ads in his game or not. No one on Newgrounds can force him to remove ads from his games.

That isn't what I mean, go to the game 'Boxhead: Zombie Wars' and you will see what I mean. You cannot play the game in Newgrounds, or at least I can't. I don't know if this is like how it is for others or not.

If there weren't banner ads on this site, Mr. Fulp wouldn't make enough money (without donations) to keep this site running. Advertisements are a monetary medium. If you had the ability to make lots of money by placing a special square in your game for like 8 seconds, wouldn't you? Also, if you get exasperated, just wait it out or click it which might skip it, or at least the mochiads.

Even if you did have to go to the website, which you probably dont, it would be the least you could do for someone who put countless amounts of time into making a game or movie. Every click generates money for them.

The simplest reason for ads?

Well, the game/movie creators need money for rent, food, sex, or whatever. So they put ads in their game so that the people who place the ad will pay them, because they hope that the people will find out more and possibly even pay them to use the product. The artist makes money and continues to make games.

Then, idiots who post whole messages in bold complain that the artists need money. The best part? These idiots also don't get that a good portion of the ad is during a period of time when you wouldn't do anything. At all. It's a loading screen. I'd rather look at a crappy ad for an MMO or toilet bowl cleaner than have to look at a loading screen anyway.

Except that it doesn't last for 8 seconds, it stays, DOES NOT GO AWAY... did you get it that time? I have said that before. Also, if you read the starting comment on this post, you will see that I said to Relocate the ads to a different area, beside the game if wanted. People will still make their money and it wont interfere. I can't play the game now because of it, the ad goes over the play button, and you can not skip it, close it, or anything.
