Your idea into a piece of art! 2009-06-30 15:00:32 Reply

I´ve been posting nearly all of my art in the artportal and I only have a few images left to post.

Anyway I really want to draw more but I don´t have a lot of inspiration. So I want you guys to come up with some cool or crazy concepts and Ideas and I´ll draw them. Must of them will end up as sketches but I´ll make a few of them into full digital images.

I´ll be posting everything here and in my gallery. But the full digital images will end up in the portal, I´ll ad credits in the description of the piece.

I´be be on holiday in a week of two, and i´m going to take my sketch book with me. So i´m going to make most of the sketches at that time.

I specialize in dragons and other fantasy creatures. I can do landscapes, cityscapes. I´m not all that brilliant in people though, It depends how realistic you want them.

Some awesome art, but please read the art forum rules.
You need to start with a picture in the first post. Not a link or anything. An actual picture.

Here's one that i was going to try whenever i had the time. A hooded rider on a griffin flies away from the observer in a deep bluish-green fog. In this fog is a steam-punk style city of rough wooden walkways that Are being held up in the air by dull canvas hot air balloons with either torch fires or steam generators. A Ray of light shining through the mists on the griffin wouldn't hurt either.

You have the right to your own opinion. You also have the right to be so horribly wrong that it's laughable.

Bone wyrm flying out of a black swirling vortex. Make it shoot out blue fire.

try something neither reptilian nor the focus of the piece. its good that every piece has scenery behind it, try experimenting with perspective, ie alot of organic things in the distance over a huge landscape, or having something very massive that expands beyond the edges of the artwork. so far every piece i've seen is center, and scaled just enough to fit entirely within the picture, and singular. not bad when you're doing character studies, but it does become a rut. the quality is superb though, just some variance in composition should help round out your gallery and give you new challenges.
