Spamming never really should have affected anyone unless it was either

- Hateful
- Maliciously coded
- Or it stole the appreciation of another's work (i.e trophies)

I don't see why there is constant attention, I don't see why people are happy when it's gone. If it isn't worth watching don't watch it.

After all this spam was deleted we could've just moved on with our lives. The spam groups have nothing to argue nor do we have anything to praise.

Anyway, this is some serious bullshit, we've never file swapped so I don't know what the hell that is all about, or at least it has never been a tactic of ours, if a member did this I can fully confirm as an administrator of the FF that this was not condoned.

This is a bit ridiculous, the FF was started with the exact mission statement "Flash for fun" and it remained that way, any pissing off of others was secondary and usually non-intentional. We made flash because we wanted to and didn't feel that every single time we opened the program it was necessary that we made something astonishing. Having said that there were some flashes we made with quite a bit of effort.

Another thing to note is we have never used Tor or other proxy programs to steal awards or even simply pass judgment like other crews do, I suppose again it is possible that individuals performed such acts but yet again they were never condoned. With that being said doesnt it show that, given we did not mass vote, our flashes were enjoyed by some as is evident by the fact that they passed?

This is ridiculous and it is not justified, I want to say you cannot simply remove flashes from this site because you do not like them but it is YOUR site so I suppose you can, all I wish to state is perhaps you should skip on the false advertising.

The thing about that is, along with negative reviews we actually got quite a number of positive reviews for our flashes, there were people out there that enjoyed our stuff, a number of our submissions had scores over 4.00, yes I admit the majority were voted far lower but does this not indicate there were people enjoying our flashes?

And as far as mods being called in to delete our work, I for one, not sure about the other members of the crew, did not know such a thing was occuring, the only time I heard anything about the possibility of our things being deleted was near the beginning of our run when Tom Fulp contacted us about our name and then today as I came online to see approximately 180 flashes removed with no warning.

The only people indicating they wanted our stuff gone were these strange groups of 13 year olds who felt it was their goal in life to come along and have everything on newgrounds deleted that wasn't a madness flash or some sprite movie. And even these people indicated, at one point through PM, that whilst one of my flashes was actually high in quality everyone should vote it down because having the name of FF scoring high was a disgrace to Newgrounds.

Doesn't that ring a bell that, maybe you should try something different, for the sake of having ALL of your work destroyed? We all know the gay thing was for the shock value, and i think that's what set people off. Not that all of your views were offended by the gay content, but the smack in the face and "Haha! Queers! Fuck you Newgrounds!" is obviously frowned upon.

I agree that the whole 'gay' idea was a bit silly but the name was already strongly established when I came along, it was not my place to change it. However beyond our name and maybe some themes in our intros there was little suggesting anything about homosexuals in our flash, certainly nothing as derogatory as some of the submissions here on Newgrounds, considering some of the press this site has got in the past due to it's questionable nature.

Additionally, we had no "Fuck you Newgrounds" attitude at all, perhaps we had some negative views towards some of the users of this site but I assure you there isn't a single member on this site that doesn't hate one or more demographics that visit here. We have always been positive towards newgrounds though, we enjoy submitting our stuff, we talk about things that go on with the site on our boards, hell, our once administrator Snawsball(posted above you) began hating newgrounds and instead of us turning negative towards the site he was somewhat pushed out of the group although it was mostly voluntarily, then he moved to the DD, a group who actually do hate on Newgrounds.

I've noticed a lot of people come here, simply looking for a challenge, and actually think they can single handedly take down this corporate giant website, just by breaking some rules and pissing people off. All they want is the attention. Negative or positive, if they get it, they win, right?

This was never our intention, we had no want to break the rules, in fact, I'd like to see any evidence that we have broken any of the rules of this site. We don't want to take newgrounds down it is where we have our fun, practive our hobby (which is flash if you were going to ask, not trolling as I'm sure you'd like to suggest).

Your content may not have been technologically malicious, but emotionally malicious.

Our aim has never been to offend, just entertain, those who felt offended by our material perhaps newgrounds isn't the place for them.

I just can't wait until the shitty [DD] go. Maybe then we'll get some more peace and quiet in the portal...

Personally, any form of spamming should be banned, bar the odd flash that draws humour from it's poor quality, but the animator should at least make some sort of attempt to make something decent. Right now, spammers just post a load of crap, some of which is very malicious and they might post something slightly funny, but that only happens when the spammer has submitted about twenty horrible, make-your-eyes-bleed flashes.

I've been apart of quite a few in the past, and while I don't condone it now, not that I honestly care anymore, they never partook in file swapping as a group. That's not saying some members hadn't done it in the past, but it was not an action condoned, or promoted by the group itself.

Hell, even this misconception that all spam groups mass vote is bullshit in itself. Wanna know why some got through the portal, why they had no real trouble with it? It's because of stats, points, and the lack of compassion for the site now.

People care far too much about their precious stats to take a risk, go out on a limb, and give a flash the score it really deserves. Hell, it might not always work, it might mean you miss out on a point or two from time to time, but if people actually voted for submissions fairly, then where would the problem be?

The [KK] never mass voted submissions to get them through the portal, now that's not saying they didn't for rewards, but it was not done to get the submission through judgment in the first place.

Funny thing about it all, most of these groups actually have great, amazing artists in them.. People that actually know how to make amazing pieces of work, and some even join these groups to help others, to teach them, and in the process, form a bond with them..

But hell, all groups are bad right? ALL groups deserve to be shit-canned, that's whats being said right?

I guess on that note, all crews should be banned. The Clock Crew became a status symbol there for a period of time, concluding with their own 'leader' leaving the group, having the account passed onto another throughout time, and however many since then. Hey, they deserve a spot though right? Their submissions are never spam! That day of theirs, yea.. That's cool too, free protection points right? Hmm.. Ever think that's what stat whores think when they see other groups that have formed since? Nah, couldn't be the case.. And to think, it's all because of B we're here, having this 'glorious' conversation, on such a lovely premise that all groups are bad, but the ones that started the whole fiasco are immune to punishment.

Now, that's not saying some of their members haven't been called out, but when it lost so many original members, it's own leader, and was disowned by those who built it's foundation from ground up, it's hard to think that a 'crew' that has changed so much over the years, is still regarded as something amazing in the eyes of so many.

You know, for the longest time.. I cared about stats, I cared so much I even joined these groups to have more submissions on my page.. I participated in Clock Day, as a 'protector' and as one who submitted 'works of art' to the portal.. I was once in the top 500 for B/P, I came here every day to post, contribute, and do whatever I could to give back to a site that gave me so much entertainment.

Poozy, I remember when you weren't a mod, when I sent you that music file that had a chick sucking pen0r as it's image.. I remember when being a user over level 9 was god-like to some, when one would loose levels if they didn't keep up with their deposits, and even when the memes were fun, when photoshops and the such were thought out, and even participated in by mods.. Back when it was 'The Problems of The Future, Today'.. but even with the new slogan, this site falls short of living up to what it once was.

And to think, I regarded this place so highly for so many years, was cussed at by family and friends for disregarding real life, to spend more time here.. with the people I felt were my family.. I even remember wanting to be a mod, fighting with Seamonky over who would become one first, to help watch over the C&C section when Ramagi was away.. Hell, I've left, but like the old saying.. they always come back, and so I did.. multiple times.

But for these generalizations to be made, for everything I've read on this site, and seen demonstrated by it's users as of late, I don't know if I want to be apart of it anymore..

Back to topic though, not all spam groups are bad, generalizations, on the other hand, are.

FF, I don't know who yall were, but if you were anything like the previous groups I've been apart of, I'm sure you had some members that really cared, and weren't in it just for stats..
