seriously, a lot the of new users are a bunch of people (mostly kids) that think that they'll go lightly because they're new. i think the mods should be even more strict with new users, so they won't turn into complete retards/spammers.

UP. if he got banned in his first day, then why would he be complaining about that now? plus, just because you've read the rules, it doesn't mean that you can't get banned and you'll be a mod. that'll only happen if you follow them correctly, and that won't happen anytime soon because you just have a week here.

the mods help prep the n00bs for what NG is like, they are like that uncle you talk to about stuff you cant tell your parents.

It's funny seeing all these threads about being banned for this reason or that. I do not consider myself a BBS reg, sure I come on every day but I lurk more than post. But when I DO post, I post what I like, stupid or not, relevant or not. Yet I have only ever been banned a few times, and never for serious reasons. Mostly the spam thread crap. Sometimes I post stupidly, but not enough to seriously break a rule, or enough to get banned.

I wouldnt be surprised if the mods were turned into dribbling wreaks, after having to deal with incessant torrent of crap that spews forth from these forums
